Lovely minerality meets good acidity

Description

Cherry, Oak, Plum

A ruby red color with purple hues. Intense nose, with hints of hints of peach, plum and cherry. Pretty mineral and good acidity.

Traditional vinification in small barrels for 12 months. Six months bottle-ageing before sale.

At the Fontanabianca winery they have clear ideas: quality is closely related to the features of the soil in the region of Neive, where Aldo Pola with his family, have been carrying on their work, which the father Franco started in 1969. The tie with the hills which are cultivated with Barbaresco vines was sealed many years ago: the winery is located in the hamlet of Bordini, surrounded by vines which seem to disappear beyond the horizon. Ageing takes place in large oak barrels and the smaller barrique barrels are used for the wine maturation to preserve the taste of grapes in the wine: this is the motto of Fontanabianca.

Food Pairing: Excellent with roast, boiled meat and cheeses.
