This Marlborough Pinot Noir is dry like the terroir showing toasted oak aromas with undertones of hedgerow fruits and coffee. The contrasting palate is immediately bright and fresh in the mouth with ripe raspberries, cherry, and toasted oak on the finish.

The Fire Road Pinot Noir vineyards flourish in the hot and dry Marlborough climate. Named after Marlborough’s worst ever fire that burnt 6,000 ha for over three days, threatening the wine town of Blenheim as well as a number of vineyards and wineries.

The 2022 grapes were machine harvested and transported to the winery where the fruit were gently pressed fermented in controlled warm stainless-steel tanks. The wine was given a sense of complexity by undergoing a second fermentation and sitting on light lees before being blended and prepared for bottling.
