Description
Dry, Floral, Guava, Pineapple
"Bright, pale straw-yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is expressive with a spice kick, aromas of pineapple, guava filled the glass with elderflower, Thai basil and white spice. Medium-bodied, fresh aromas of pineapple, guava have a juicy core, along with lime, elderflower melded harmoniously, Thai basil and white spice linger on the finish added interest. The wine is elegantly presented with well-proportioned features. Juicy acidity balances the sweet fruit and lengthens with spice, lends a long finish. A hint of stony minerals lightly coated the palate. This is a delicate, well-proportioned Sauvignon Blanc with pristine fruit, acid balance and a spice kick. Match with Thai steamed fish and green-lipped mussels over the next 3-4 years. Machine-harvested, cool-fermented" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, Dec 2021
"A very international expression with aromas and flavours of mineral and lemon, apple and fresh green herb, a fine lees and stony soil qualities. A satin texture with salivating acidity and fruit flavours that reflect the bouquet, fine herbaceous quality and lengthy finish. A lovely example ready for drinking alongside your favourite seafood and salad dishes from today and through end of summer 2025" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, May 2022

The grapes were machine harvested and field destemmed before being gently pressed to stainless steel holding tanks for fermentation at cool temperatures with selected yeast strains with aim to preserve the aromatic and fruit flavours from the vineyard. Wine was produced at Babich winery in Riverlands, Blenheim, Marlborough.
Food Pairing: Fish and seafood are a great choice to match. Delicate flavours of these dishes will complement the bright varietal characters of this wine.
