Description

Dry, Herbal, Passionfruit

This elegant yet intensely flavoured Sauvignon Blanc is true to its Marlborough origins. It beautifully expresses its sub-regional characters, with aromas of snow pea, ripe herbs, and a vibrant acid backbone reflecting the Awatere Valley, while heady passionfruit, ripe lemon, and rich texture flow from the Wairau Valley vineyards.

Vineyards in the cooler Awatere Valley and the warmer Southern Valleys were selected for this wine. Planted on a mix of free-draining gravel and clay soils, these sites contribute both elegance and structure to the final blend. The Marlborough harvest was excellent, yielding clean fruit with crisp flavours that have produced elegant wines with bright aromatics and juicy acidity.

The individual parcels were harvested and transported to the winery for immediate processing to capture the freshness of the fruit. Fermentation was cool and slow using selected yeast strains. Once blended, the wine was gently fined and filtered before bottling.

"Pungent, fruity, precise and ready. Aromas and flavours of fresh pomaceous fruit and citrus, some mineral and passionfruit, apples and lime. Crisp, ripe, fruity, refreshing and dry with a core of passionfruit and citrus flavours, plenty of acidity and a balanced, even finish. Well made and ready to drink from 2025 through 2028" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Oct 2025
