Description
Caramel, Plum, Spice
"Ripe, savory cherries with dried oranges and earthy spices. Medium-bodied with tight, sandblasted tannins that melt and integrate into the finish. Drink or hold" James Suckling, Jamessuckling.com, Nov 2025
Ruby-red wine with garnet hues. The nose presents notes of spices, licorice, red fruits and caramel. In the mouth it is full, robust, austere, velvety and harmonious.
Enzo Bartoli embodies the true spirit of Piemonte. Enzo Bartoli wines source their grapes from local vineyards, empowering smaller growers to spotlight their homeland on a global stage. Through scrupulous vineyard selection to attain exceptional fruit and craft ing a variety of wine styles and price tiers, with an unwavering focus on quality Enzo Bartoli wines open the doors of Piemonte to every consumer.
The Langhe soil has sedimentary and marine origin. In the Barolo area it has a limestone-clay conformity that facilitates the production of wines with great structure. Nebbiolo. It is the great Italian wine par excellence, made from pure Nebbiolo grapes. It is born in the heart of the Langhe, a few kilometers south of the city of Alba, in the territory of 11 municipalities that chase each other in an evocative itinerary of hills, chiseled by the expert hand of man and guarded by imposing medieval castles, including the very one of Barolo, which gave its name to the wine that is now famous all over the world. Thanks to the stubbornness of Camillo Benso Count of Cavour and Giulia Colbert Falletti, the last marquise of Barolo, an exceptionally rich and harmonious wine began to be produced in the mid-19th century, destined to become the ambassador of the Piedmont of the Savoy in courts throughout Europe. Harvest in the first two weeks of October.
Barolo, Piedmont’s greatest wine, ennobles its great structure with 38 months of aging.
Food Pairing: It goes perfectly with roasted meats and dishes enriched by truffles. In order to enhance its aromas have the care to open it 2-3 hours in advance and serve it in a wide glass at 18-20°C.
