Description
Dry, Feijoa, Passionfruit
"Youthful and fragrant, showing green apple, kiwifruit, and herbaceous aromas on the nose. The palate delivers juicy fruit intensity with fleshy texture and crisp acidity, finishing long and vibrant. At its best: now to 2027" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jun 2025
"Bright, even, pale yellow. The nose is intense and vibrant, with aromas of citrus, nettle, pineapple and Vietnamese mint. Medium-light bodied, aromas of lime, pineapple and guava melded with nettle and Vietnamese mint. This has a bright citrus core and tropical mix; invigorating acidity drives a salivating finish" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews
"A nice bouquet of tropical fruits, gooseberry and lemon. There’s a mineral floral quality and fine lees layer. Crisp and dry with plenty of acidity for freshness and crispness. Needs lots of aeration before drinking so double-decant back into the bottle before service. Best from late 2025 through 2026" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
Bright aromas of ripe passionfruit, lychee, and green pepper lead the way, followed by a fresh, tropical palate bursting with melon and gooseberry. A fine thread of citrus lingers on the finish, adding balance and vibrancy.
Named after the extraordinary East Indiaman ship that rests on the Picton foreshore in the breathtaking Marlborough Sounds, this wine pays tribute to a piece of history. Built in Bengal in 1853, visiting the ship is an unforgettable experience, just like tasting this Sauvignon Blanc.
Crafted from select parcels across the Marlborough region, the fruit was chosen for its purity and bold expression. Harvested in mid-March at peak ripeness, the grapes were swiftly pressed and fermented in cool, stainless-steel tanks to preserve freshness. Each parcel was crafted separately, allowing our winemakers to create a final blend that is truly delicious.
Food Pairing: Enjoy now or cellar for up to 3 years. Match with seafood, or any Asian inspired dish.
