Bright, lively flavours with velvety tannins
Description
- Integrated oak
- Ripe cherries
- Toasted spice
- Velvety tannins
A lifted nose of ripe red cherries and bright boysenberry mingled with black currant leaf. Bright and lively with flavours of dark cherry fruits and toasted spices. This wine has well integrated oak and balanced acidity. The velvety tannins and fine persistant flavours provide good focus and length. Drink now or will cellar well for at least another three to four years from vintage date.
These Pinot Noir grapes were harvested from several specifically chosen low cropping vineyard sites in the Southern Valleys region of Marlborough.
The wine was hand plunged frequently throughout fermentation. Once malolactic fermentation was completed the wine was carefully blended and gently prepared for bottling.
Food Pairing: Delicious with rare fillet steak and carpaccio.
