Edwin Fox Reserve Hawke's Bay Syrah 2020

A lifted nose of black cherry, cranberry and ripe blackberries mingled with wafts of spicy oak.  Luscious  full-bodied and concentrated with ripe flavours of dark summer berries, dried herbs, and a hint of vanilla. The elegant structure and balanced acidity with velvety tannins leads to a long complex toasty finish. Drink now or will cellar well for at least another five years from vintage date.

This wine was sourced from vineyards within the winegrowing district of Hawkes Bay. The vigour moderating, free draining gravel provides as superb base of this low cropping Syrah. The fruit was carefully monitored during ripening and harvested in the cool evening at maximum flavor maturity and physiological ripeness.

Food Pairing: Delicious with garlic and Moroccan spiced lamb.
