This 2021 Fleurie flaunts and expressive and highly perfumed nose, with preserved red fruits and berries. The palate is fleshy, medium-bodied and elegant with powdery tannin structure and a persistent finish.
Fleurie AOP is one of the ten designated ‘crus’ in Beaujolais, named after a Roman legionary. The main feature of the commune is a hill topped with a chapel and a prominent statue of the Madonna, from which the lieu-dit ‘La Madone’ is derived.
