Description
Apple, Dry, Pear
“This is immediately appealing on the nose, showing golden apple, rockmelon, green tea, and jasmine aromas with a lovely oatmeal nuance. It's beautifully flowing and expansive in the mouth, offering juicy fruit flavours with fleshy texture and finely infused acidity, making it fabulously drinkable” Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
“A bouquet of ripe pears and apples. On the palate a lively mousse with a decent texture leads to a silky creamy mouthfeel, a fine lees autolysis and plenty of acidity for freshness and style” Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
“Professionally made sparkling wine, with Chenin Blanc lemon fruit and hint of softness that is common in Crémant from the Loire” Jeff Siegel, Wine Curmudgeon
“Floral, flattering, and easy to dress up or down… Pale gold; fine persistent bubbles. Nose of white flowers, green apple, lemon zest, and a touch of brioche. On the palate: bright acidity, crisp green apple and citrus, with a creamy texture from lees aging” The Wine Fairy
De Chanceny is the premium sparkling brand of Cave Robert & Marcel Est. 1953 in Saumur, renowned for expertise in Crémant de Loire and sustainability practices like biodiversity preservation across 2,350 hectares of clay-limestone and tuffeau terroirs. Recently awarded a Decanter Trophy for their vintage Crémant, they embody a philosophy of authentic yet modern winemaking—respecting traditional methods while encouraging creative, joyful consumption for everyday celebrations. This cuvee is one of the top-3-selling Crémants in France, blending grapes from hand-harvested plots south of Saumur. Dominated by Chenin Blanc for its freshness and acidity, grapes are picked in multiple passes for balanced lime, peach, and richness. Gently whole-cluster pressed, fermented via Méthode Traditionnelle, then aged 24 months sur lie in underground tuffeau limestone caves on wooden laths for finesse before disgorgement.
Food Pairing: Perfect with oysters, sushi, salmon, crab, white fish, salads, strawberry tart.
