Description
Floral, Oak, Raspberry
"Medium ruby red in the glass. Raspberry and biltong aromatics. Has an intensity immediately with concentrated red fruits bound in fine-grained tannins that bring tension and drive. As it flows long across the palate, we see dried blood and ferrous mineral savouries ramping up the complexity factor. This is serious wine at a bargain price" Stuart Knox, Real Review, Aug 2023
Lively dark red hue. Fragrant and lifted with violets and darker fruits. Supple tannins and mouthfeel. Medium bodied, textural, and very easy.
Clever, surprising, magical, with a bit of the dark arts thrown in. Heathcote wines with flair and a bit of cheekiness.
Heathcote Ridge, Freemans Bridge, Whistling Eagle and Willoughby Bridge in Northern Heathcote. The ancient red Cambrian soils of Northern Heathcote are ideal for growing Grenache.
A range of winemaking techniques to gently extract colour and flavour. Lots of whole bunches are used to give fruit lift and aromatics. 15 days on skins, then 10 months in older large wooden casks.
