De Bortoli King Valley Prosecco NV (Australia)
Delightfully savoury with fine bubbles
Delightfully savoury with fine bubbles
Description
Apple, Floral, Pear
Pale with green hues in the glass, with fruit-driven bouquet and hints of green apple and wisteria. The palate has the taste of apple and pear with fresh pithy lemon, with a gentle creaminess, completed by very fine bubbles that we call bead.
From Australia's natural home for Prosecco; King Valley, where many families originated from Northern Italy where Prosecco grapes are indigenous. This area has an ideal climate and breathtaking scenery being at the base of Victorias snowfields. The wine is pressed and racked to stainless vats for fermentation and then blended. Though it is the all important secondary fermentation that gives this Prossecco its final fine bead. This second fermentation also gives creaminess and texture to the blend, before it is transferred under pressure, complete with bubbles, to bottle.
Food Pairing: Gently savoury with fine bubbles, this delightful Prosecco from the King Valley is perfect on its own or mixed as an apéritif with soda water for a lively and refreshing spritz.
