Description

Cream, Dry, Raspberry

Pale salmon pink in colour, our rosé displays enticing aromas of red berries and citrus blossom, complemented by delicate hints of almond and rose petals. The palate is dry, creamy and textured, revealing vibrant flavours of watermelon and pink grapefruit, balanced by bright acidity and subtle mineral notes.

Scale_-_Dry

Located on the southern banks of the Ngaruroro River in the famed Gimblett Gravels sub-region. Mature vines are planted on young, deep alluvial gravels that are free draining and encourage low yields and concentrated flavour. A sub-region that has naturally low rainfall and high sunshine hours producing exceptional cool-climate wine.

The 2026 growing season delivered one of our earliest harvests. Warm conditions, paired with settled, dry weather through February and March, provided ideal ripening conditions, producing fruit of exceptional quality and flavour concentration. The wines display remarkable balance, purity, and intensity, making 2026 a truly exceptional year for Hawke's Bay.

Harvested early in the morning and gently pressed to tank for a light overnight settling. 82% racked to tank for a cool fermentation. 18% transferred to seasoned French barriques for barrel fermentation at 22 deg C. Blended post ferment and aged on light lees for 3 months.
