Description

Cherry, Floral, Oak

"Attractively ripe and nicely lifted, the bouquet shows sweet cherry, raspberry, floral, and subtle spice aromas, followed by a silky palate displaying youthful fruit flavours with fine texture and gentle tannins. Immediately approachable and enjoyable. At its best: now to 2027" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Brightly fruited and fragrant, sweet cherry, raspberry, rich floral and subtle spice aromas, followed by a juicy, fruit forward palate, easy drinking and delicious.

Crimson Monster creates monstrously rich and full-bodied wines sourced from low yielding,
established vineyards located in some of South Australia’s finest regions such as McLaren
Vale and Coonawarra. Thick gnarled old vines produce tiny berries of incredible intensity that is harnessed by careful winemaking and partial maturation in large seasoned oak barrels to deliver wonderfully approachable, opulent and mouth-coating flavours.

Strong winds throughout late November and much of December heavily affected flowering - affecting the yield of crop. A cooler than average growing season and a dry fall has delivered quality fruit and exciting reds.

Staggered hand-picking sections of the vineyard ensuring the fruit is at optimal ripeness. The fruit was de-stemmed and fermentation occurred in a combination of two-tonne fermenters with twice daily hand plunging and pump overs. All components blended post fermentation before the final wine was partly matured in small French oak barrels for 6 months before bottling with minimal fining, filtration and sulphur addition.
