Craggy Range Gimblett Gravels Syrah 2017
Wonderful fruit purity balanced with precise acidity

Description

Deepest red with a vibrant purple hue. Beautiful aromatics of violet, dark rose, freshly cracked pepper and boysenberry. Wonderful fruit purity on the palate balanced with precise acidity and fine, dusty tannins for a long, elegant finish.

The 2017 vintage saw a warm and dry summer, with a wet final ripening period.

Hand harvested grapes were fermented in open top stainless steel tanks before being aged in French oak barriques (18% new) for 16 months. Potential cellaring for this wine is 7 to 12 years from vintage.

Food Pairing: Lamb & venison dishes.
