Bright and expressive, this Pinot Gris opens with inviting aromas of ripe pear, crisp apple and hints of citrus peel, lifted by delicate white floral notes. The palate is fresh and vibrant, with juicy orchard fruit flavours supported by a fine, silky texture and gentle weight through the mid-palate. Well balanced and approachable, the wine finishes smooth and refreshing with lingering fruit and a clean, elegant finish.

Our 2022 wine is based almost entirely on fruit from our Kumeu vineyard, where the vines are now reaching an age that consistently delivers excellent flavour and balance. The growing season allowed the fruit to ripen nicely while maintaining freshness, resulting in grapes with good concentration and varietal character. The fruit looked in great condition at harvest and was a pleasure to bring into the winery. Tank fermentation and a period of lees contact have produced a wine that has Pinot Gris’ wonderful transparency, accompanied by generous weight and texture.
