Description
Apricot, Dry, Lemon
"Aromas and flavours of white fleshed fruits and citrus, some apple spice and white flowers, a leesy mineral and floral highlights. There’s a fine savoury seam linked to the acidity and natural fruit tannins, this builds complexity on the palate and adds length to the finish. A youthful taut wine with a nice palate squeeze and dry finish. Best drinking from late 2024 through 2027+. Also, an ideal partner with fresh summer fare and seafood" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Nov 2023

"Fans of crispy, dry whites ahoy! From the folk at Clevedon Vineyard located on the slopes of Clevedon Valley comes this rather smashable sip for the summer. And here’s an extra for experts. Did you know that Clevedon Vineyard was the very first place to grow Arneis, an Italian grape nicknamed ‘little rascal’. It’s called that due to it being super tricky to grow. But if you’re aiming for a mineral-laced, saline-stacked style with, apple and faint fennel notes then it’s job done here on the 2022 vintage. Serve chilled to accentuate the white florals and lift of lemon and enjoy the creamy, leesy note on its long, dry finish" Yvonne Lorkin, Oct 2023
"Another very dry white style. Arneis is relatively rare in NZ. Flavours of apricot, frangipane tart and herbal basil leaf, with soft acids but very dry finish" Phil Parkerr, Mar 2024
Originating from Northern Italy this cheeky white varietal is nicknamed 'Little Rascal'. Clevedon Vineyard was the first vineyard in New Zealand to plant Arneis in 1998.
Fresh and lively with a delicate floral scent. Subtle pear and stone fruit flavours. Lemon and almond tones, an understated intrigue. Generous medium bodied with a dry rounded finish. A perfect wine for spring and summer.
Clevedon Vineyard on Munros Road is nestled in the hills of Clevedon New Zealand.
This family owned estate and vineyard sprawls some 50 acres of stunning bush-lined valley and is centred around an authentic Italian Villa - Il Monticello ('The Hill'). The northerly aspect captures all day sunshine giving this boutique vineyard a higher than regional average climate. Coupled with clay based soil it is as unique as it is remarkable.
Planted over 2 decades ago, this single-vineyard estate produces Pinot Noir, Syrah, Rosé and the northern Italian varietal Arneis. A genuine family-owned, family run vineyard that cares for the land from the vine to your table.
