A Richly textured Pinot Gris with exceptional aromatics
Description
Apricot, Dry, Pear
"With just a hint of copper that glints in the glass, this is a richer style with ripe juicy fruit through the nose and palate. Candied-fruit sweetness is well balanced and sits comfortably amongst lees and possible oak characteristics that give the wine texture and interest" Cuisine Magazine
Richly textured Pinot Gris with exceptional aromatics. Appealing ripe pear, peach, rose water and ginger spice aromas are evident on the nose. On the palate the wine is lush and full bodied with a moderate level of sweetness balanced by gentle acidity and a touch of ginger spice on the finish. Enjoy this wine now rather than cellaring as it is unlikely to benefit from further aging.
Church Road embraces Old World winemaking with one arm and technological advancements with the other. And it all begins with fruit grown in Hawke's Bay. Church Road Winery, renowned for being the first in New Zealand to craft exceptional quality Bordeaux style red wine, pioneered the creation of the Hawke’s Bay wine industry. Church Road wines are crafted using the most exceptional quality fruit from vineyards across Hawke’s Bay, together with traditional winemaking techniques to create highly acclaimed award-winning wines.
Founded in 1897, Church Road combines traditional winemaking techniques with modern thinking and innovation to craft premium, complex wines.
Food Pairing: Seafood, white meats and many Southeast Asian inspired dishes.
