Description
Dry, Melon, Oatmeal
"It's elegant and inviting on the nose with white flesh stone fruit, rockmelon, lemon peel and oatmeal nuances, leading to a finely flowing palate that's creamy and lingering. Beautifully composed and expressed, offering excellent value and charming drinking" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"A great French alternative to Prosecco" Steve Bennett, Master of Wine, Importer
"Fine, creamy sparkling wine with a perfect sweet/sour balance. Fairly neutral palate with a deliciously drinkable texture. Clean, fresh fizz" Bob Campbel, Master of Wine, Real Review
Established by Eugène Chevalier near Mâcon, in 1920. Now produced as part of the family-owned Boisset Collection. Boisset La Famille des Grands Vins is France's third largest wine group (and Burgundy's largest wine producer) with 28 wineries in France and the USA. Maison Chevalier proudly use a selection of best base wines from among various French Blanc de Blancs grape varieties blended according to the vintage characteristics to obtain the best expression of the signature of the house style. Extended vat ageing allows the expression of the quality of the base wines, the fullness of their maturity and the brightness of their aromas.
Food Pairing: This is a classic, dry, refreshing sparkling style that you can serve chilled as an aperitif or with seafood, cold cuts, white meats, salads, hummus, and soft cheeses.
