Description
Oak, Pastry, Vanilla
A celebration of one of New Zealand’s most-loved styles, this Chardonnay line-up showcases the richness, freshness, and complexity that make Marlborough such a compelling home for the varietal.
Collection includes:
2 x ROHE Southern Valleys Marlborough Chardonnay 2024
Awarded Gold Medal: New Zealand International Wine Show 2025
Awarded 93/100 Points: Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
"There’s no mistaking the style and power of this wine with a bouquet of barrel spices and ripe orchard fruits. Aromas of vanilla and baked goods framing a core of peach and apple with a grapefruit peel suggestion. Lots of weight and creaminess, spice and fruits on the palate set in a dry style with fine tannins and medium+ acid line. Lovely balance and length, still youthful with ageing and development potential. Best drinking from early 2026 through 2029" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Oct 2025
Expressive citrus and stone fruit aromas such as melon, ripe peach and nectarine complement grapefruit, vanilla and brioche flavours on the palate. These flavours are framed with a flinty complexity and core of juicy acidity. This wine is immediately enjoyable but will continue to drink well for the next eight years. Single Vineyard.
Alc: 13.5%
2 x Framingham Marlborough Chardonnay 2023
Awarded 95/100 Points: Shanteh Wale, Halliday Wine Companion
Awarded 93/100 Points: Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
Awarded 93/100 Points & 4 Stars: Stephen Wong, Master of Wine, The Real Review
"The wine is matured in 15% new French oak for 10 months. Bright, youthful and zesty, with nectarine and pineapple rings. Some sparkler flint, kefir grains and the nuttiness of pine nuts and nutmeg. Harmonious with toasty elements and sensationally-cared-for fruit at its core - the theme of Framingham. Energy, carry and purpose in its every move. This will age slowly and well over another decade" Shanteh Wale, Halliday Wine Companion, Feb 2024
"Aromas and flavours of pink grapefruit and fresh red apple, white peach and natural fruit and wood spices. Plenty of texture and weight as the wine touches the palate with near full-body impact, a youthful acid line and flavours that reflect the bouquet. Fine tannins, lees and a saline quality layer in both complexity and length. Best drinking from early 2025 through 2030+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Jun 2024
Pink grapefruit, red apple, white peach, natural fruit, and wood spices. A near full-bodied impact with plentiful texture and weight, alongside a vibrant and youthful acid line and fine tannins. Layers of lees and a saline quality contribute to the wine's complexity and length. Sustainable.
Food Pairing: All kinds of soft cheeses, white meats and rich seafood such as koura (crayfish) and smoked warehou.
Alc: 13%
2 x TAPI Organic Marlborough Chardonnay 2025
Awarded 93/100 Points: Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
"Youthful, vibrant, fresh, enticing, varietal and engaging bouquet with a sense of site and lots of style with aromas and flavours of pink apple and pear, white peach and a fine seam of vanilla and wood spice qualities. Fleshy textures, fine fruit and wood tannins, a light flinty quality and medium+ length. A wine with style and impact, freshness and purity. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2030" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Apr 2026
Youthful and vibrant, opening with bright aromas of pink lady apple, ripe pear and white peach, lifted by a fine seam of vanilla and gentle wood spice. The palate is fleshy and textural, framed by fine oak-derived tannins and a light flinty minerality that carries through to a medium-plus finish.
