A fantastic Côtes du Rhône
Description
Cherry, Spice, Strawberry
"Beautifully composed and styled, the fragrant bouquet presents dark plum, wild strawberry, mixed spice, and assorted nut aromas. It's succulent and rounded in the mouth, delivering excellent fruit intensity and supple texture, wonderfully framed by fine-grained tannins, finishing long and flavoursome. At its best: now to 2030" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Mar 2026
"A bright and fruity expression with classic scents and flavours of plums and blue fruits, some cherry and violets then a stony mineral quality. Dry, fine tannins add a light dusty texture with the acid line at a medium level. Classic, balanced and well made with the voice of southern Rhone and the Chapoutier style sound and well spoken. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2030" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Mar 2026
A garnet red in colour. This wine is well-structured with firm tannins. Aromas are complex of spices and fruit. Red fruit aromas (mainly morello cherry and strawberry).
The vineyards of this Côtes-du-Rhône come from different soils (from 4 neighbouring regions: Drôme, Vaucluse, Gard and Ardèche) such as clay-calcareous alluvial deposit terraces and clay. Providing this wine an incredible richness and complexity.
The wine is aged in vats and the blending is performed by the end of spring.
The whole grapes are destemmed. A two-week vat time provides a great tannic structure compulsory to its ageing and a good stability. The grapes are hand-harvested at maturity.
