Description

Dry, Mandarin, Nectarine

"Sound, dry, leesy, crisp, fruity and delicious. Aromas and flavours of orange and mandarin, peach and saffron. A firm mousse with soft edges, plenty of acidity, crisp and dry with a lengthy finish. Balanced, well made and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2027. A 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and Riesling" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Dec 2024

Central Otago summer in a glass. Fresh apricot and nectarine with hints of white blossom and cooling mint. Lively, zesty, juicy, stone fruit on the palate with a tight grapefruit citrus drive. Lingering nutty and brioche notes add complexity to the finish from the natural bottle ferment.

Le Pét-Nat is a Pétillant-Naturel or naturally sparkling wine, bottled mid-way through ferment to capture the natural effervescence. The 2024 features artwork by Wanaka based artist Sierra Roberts, as part of her Frida Collection. The flowers adorning ‘Poppy’ celebrate femininity and the fragility of life - inspired by the wild poppies and thyme that embellish the Bannockburn landscape.

The 2024 is a 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and Riesling. Crushed, pressed and fermented in tank. When it reached the perfect residual sugar level to create the right amount of effervescence in the bottle, it was chilled and bottled. The yeast then kicked back in to ferment dry and create a beautiful natural fizz. No fining, filtration or disgorging.
