A cracking vintage. Dark fruits, spice & red licorice. Soft velvety tannin, emblematic of the Great Southern region. A delicious wine to drink young for its primary fruit characters. The wine will gain complexity and smoothness with cellaring 5 to 8 years.

The 2021 vintage at Capel Vale Wines was a tremendous vintage resulting in lower yields with exceptional quality fruit, high flavour concentration and good natural acidity.
Food Pairing: Peppered steak with creamy mushroom sauce or slow-cooked venison with juniper berry and shiraz jus.
