Medium bodied yet delicate style of Shiraz. Violets and bramble on the nose and a palate lush with dark berry fruits. A delicious wine to drink young for its primary fruit characters. The wine will gain complexity and smoothness with cellaring 5 to 8 years.

The 2019 vintage at Capel Vale resulted in cooler temperatures during the Spring and Summer Season. Humid conditions were evident during the ripening stages with light rains. There was low yielding fruit resulting in elegant flavours and good natural acidity.

Regional wines are elegant and graceful wines. They are high quality wines that reflect varietal and regional characteristics.

Food Pairing: Peppered steak with creamy mushroom sauce or slow-cooked venison with juniper berry and shiraz jus.
