Settle into the season with this elegant Martinborough estate collection from Butterworth - a beautifully curated winter line-up showcasing the richness, poise, and cool-climate character of this celebrated region.

Collection includes:

2 x Butterworth Layline Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Awarded 93/100 Points & 5 Stars: Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews
Awarded 4 Stars: Winestate Magazine

"Bright, even, pale yellow. The nose is softly full, with aromas of sweet, tropical fruit, elderflower and a hint of grassy nuance. Medium-light bodied, aromas of guava and passionfruit entwined with elderflower, lime zest, grass and saline. Fine-textured phenolics fill the palate and lend an almost unctuous mouthfeel; fresh acidity flows smoothly with herbaceous notes to a dry, crisp finish. This Sauvignon Blanc possesses a fresh, textural line with savoury, tropical nuances" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, Oct 2023

"Drinking well in its youth, this wine was made from local growers’ grapes. Light lemon/green, it is fresh and lively, in a medium-bodied style with tropical fruit flavours to the fore, gentle herbal notes, crisp acidity and very good depth" Winestate Magazine, Jan 2023

Bright gold green hue. A medley of passionfruit, mango, elderflower, and grapefruit leap from the glass. Undertones of freshly crushed sage and lemon-thyme round off the beautiful aroma.

Alc: 12.5%

2 x Butterworth Te Muna Martinborough Chardonnay 2022

Awarded 93/100 Points & 5 Stars: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Awarded 93/100 Points: Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier

"Elegant and complex, the bouquet shows ripe peach, rockmelon, vanilla, hazelnut and brioche aromas, leading to a concentrated palate offering terrific weight and richly textured mouthfeel. Beautifully framed by juicy acidity, making it flavoursome and delectably appealing. At its best: now to 2028" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Aug 2024

"A lovely bouquet and palate with scents and flavours of peaches and lemon, a tart creme-fresh and baked yellow apple. The use of French oak within the complexities of this wine is judicious and well placed with some new wood use and older wood for breadth and complexity as well as a cashew nut quality. Fine tannins and medium+ acid line, balanced and well made. Ready to drink from day of purchase and through 2029" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Aug 2024

Bright light golden hue. Sweet lifted spicy vanilla bean oak jumps from the glass, with creamy buttery undertones. Lifted notes of pretty floral reduction and ripe, freshly picked, white peach and apricot. Sixteen months on Gross Lees has given the Butterworth Chardonnay a rich mid palate texture, adding layers to the racy acid line Te Muna is famous for. The grip from the phenolics add length and breadth to the back palate, giving a chalky, oyster shell finish. Exclusive.

Alc: 12%

2 x Butterworth Layline Martinborough Pinot Noir 2022

Awarded 93/100 Points & 5 Stars: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Awarded 91/100 Points: Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, The Real Review
Awarded 90/100 Points: Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier

"It's gorgeously expressed on the nose, showing dark plum, cured meat, toasted spice and almond notes, followed by a wonderfully weighted palate that's succulent and supple. Harmonious and balanced with finely pitched tannins, finishing long and satisfying. At its best: now to 2032" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Aug 2024

"Moderately light, supple pinot noir with bright cherry, vanilla, and berry flavours. Smooth-textured wine that is deliciously easy to drink but should become even more interesting with a few years' bottle age" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Aug 2024

"Varietal and youthful with a bouquet of fresh red plum and cherry fruits, some rose and clay mineral qualities. Equally youthful on the palate with flavours that mirror the bouquet, a strong acid line an fine fruit-led tannin structure. Simple, fruity and ready to drink from 2026 through 2030+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Aug 2024

Dark purple red. Dense freshly picked raspberry and plum fruit aromas interwoven with cinnamon and cardamon spice with Te Muna’s rose petal overtone. A complex, savoury, mouth filling wine with dense dark fruits and cacao. The tannins are fine boned, yet persistent, combining with the pure line of acidity.
