Harmonious & balanced with finely pitched tannins
Wine Orbit
Description
Oak, Raspberry, Spice
"It's gorgeously expressed on the nose, showing dark plum, cured meat, toasted spice and almond notes, followed by a wonderfully weighted palate that's succulent and supple. Harmonious and balanced with finely pitched tannins, finishing long and satisfying. At its best: now to 2032" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Aug 2024
"Varietal and youthful with a bouquet of fresh red plum and cherry fruits, some rose and clay mineral qualities. Equally youthful on the palate with flavours that mirror the bouquet, a strong acid line an fine fruit-led tannin structure. Simple, fruity and ready to drink from 2026 through 2030+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Aug 2024
Dark purple red. Dense freshly picked raspberry and plum fruit aromas interwoven with cinnamon and cardamon spice with Te Muna’s rose petal overtone. A complex, savoury, mouth filling wine with dense dark fruits and cacao. The tannins are fine boned, yet persistent, combining with the pure line of acidity.
The soils of Te Muna Terraces are deep, free-draining alluvial gravel, which are rich in minerals making it ideal for growing grapes. The climate is an extension of Martinborough and similar to Burgundy, being only slightly cooler due to higher altitude, but with long cool summers and low rainfall providing the optimum long ripening conditions for grapes.
