Description

Almond, Blackcurrant, Oak

"Varietally expressive and inviting, the bouquet shows cassis, subtle tobacco, roasted almond and clove notes, followed by a fruit-forward palate offering terrific weight and intensity. Beautifully framed by fine, grainy tannins, making it structured and persistent. At its best: now to 2031" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jul 2024

Blackcurrant, violets and very subtle garden herb aromas instantly fill the space. The palate is dark fruited with red florals, cedar and herb. Subtle grippy tannins provide excellent shape and drive to the wine that finishes very long, medium bodied and yet full in flavour.

Burns & Fuller is a range of contemporary and fruit driven varietal wines made by Corey Ryan. Each wine is fruit-driven and balanced with a core of fruit given complexity by a barrell aged component.

A great vintage for the region, with favourable weather and conditions. Quality was said to be exceptional across every variety, with reds showing great density of colour and flavour and whites pristine aromatics.

The fruit is partially hand-harvested before de-stemming and cool fermentation in small two tonne open fermenters with regular hand plunging. Matured in seasoned French oak (20% new French) for six months before boiling with minimal filtration and sulphur addition.
