The 2021 vintage was sensational. Ripeness arrived in bucket loads with the Gold Label grapes harvested between 23 and 25 Brix. As a result, the 2021 is a beast of a wine with blackberry, cigar box, toast, dried herb, and leather flavours all underpinned by a firm alcohol. While approachable now, time in the bottle will allow further complexity and subtle flavours to evolve.
