Description
Dry, Floral, Spice
"Bright, medium yellow-gold, even colour throughout. The nose is full, with ripe pear, quince, honeysuckle and beeswax aromas. Medium-full bodied, dry to taste, aromas of quince and pear interweave with honeysuckle, beeswax, and jasmine tea. The mouthfeel is oily and almost waxy, flowing with fresh and balanced acidity and subtle spice to a dry finish. This is an engaging, dry Pinot Gris with a savoury edge that plays on texture" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, Dec 2023

A subtle, pale gold with just a hint of green. Fresh, green notes adorn the perfume, adding a crisp undertone to the sensory ballad that is 'The Poet'. Red apple skin, honeydew melon, lychee and ginger account for the rest of this fruity and aromatic composition. A dry character, 'The Poet' does not exhibit sweet notes, but instead offers a firm, tight and linear palatable tale, with textured fruity notes of red apple and honeycomb taking the centre-stage. Hold the applause.
The Pinot Gris is grown on volcanic soil over limestone. The resulting wine exhibits a chalky texture and salinity, with fresh aromatics and a lovely backbone of acidity, finishing dry but with plenty of body and texture. Aged on lees for 5 months.
The Bohemian Project is doing things a lil' differently... They're not a winery. They're not a vineyard. They're a collection of like-minded wine lovers who came together - an amalgamation of all things great about wine. With crafty winemakers from all different corners of New Zealand chipping in, they get to express in their creations all the things they love - and in working like this, they believe their Bohemian Wines collection truly reflects what New Zealand's finest masters of craft want to express.
