Arrests the senses with deeply extracted cherry & bright cassis
Description
Hazelnut, Oak, Vanilla
Deep garnet color that alludes to its depth and intensity. The nose is greeted by inviting aromas of cherry, cassis, tobacco and plum, further enriched by nuances of clove, vanilla and hazelnut. Upon entry, the wine delivers a rich and full mouthfeel that envelops the palate. The tannins are supple and well-integrated, leading to a long, lingering finish that invites you to savor each sip.
The Bogle family has been farming since the mid-1800’s. Though it was not until 1968 that the father and son team of Warren and Chris Bogle planted their first 20 acres of wine grapes in Clarksburg, California. Today Bogle Vineyards farms over 1,500 acres of grapes. While the winery was established ten years after the first grapes were planted, its success has grown tremendously along with the vineyards. The Petite Sirah has been named 'Heritage' because this was the first variety planted by the Bogle's back in 1968.
Aged for 12 months in 1-year old American oak barrels.
Each and every Bogle wine created is a unique and exciting blend with true varietal character and an approachable style. With their deep commitment to quality, the Bogle family would not have it any other way.
Food Pairing: Enjoy on its own or with a deli classic pastrami sandwich, steak & potatoes, or beef stew.
