Bleeding Heart McLaren Vale Shiraz 2024 (Australia)
Fantastic tannin, acid & flavour balance
Fantastic tannin, acid & flavour balance
Description
Cherry, Chocolate, Oak
An enticing bouquet of vibrant red fruits, velvety chocolate, and a hint of delicate spices. On the palate, you'll find rich flavours of cherry and blackberry, complemented by firm tannins, making it an ideal pairing with a chargrilled steak.
Bleeding Heart Wine was born from a shared passion in the wines and vineyards of South Australia. The ancient soils and moderate climate create rich and full bodied wines that are incredibly satisfying. Few that experience the lifestyle of food and wine or the beautiful landscape could argue that it is not better a bleeding heart than none at all.
South Australian regions experienced a very dry growing season for the 2024 vintage. Frost, the lack of rain and poor weather during flowering has resulted in lower yields, however, the dry and consistent weather during picking resulted in a vintage of high-quality fruit.
The fruit is partially hand harvested before destemming and cool fermentation in small two tonne open fermenters with regular hand plunging. Matured in seasoned French oak for six months before bottling to maintain early freshness.
Food Pairing: Chargrilled steak.
