Description

Oak, Plum, Spice

Classic Cabernet nose exhibiting berry fruit intensity underpinned by toasty oak. An impressive mouthful, the palate is full of dark berries and ripe plums.

Bleeding Heart Wine was born from a shared passion in the wines and vineyards of Australia. The ancient soils and moderate climate create rich and full bodied wines that are incredibly satisfying. Few that experience the lifestyle of food and wine or the beautiful landscape could argue that it is not better a bleeding heart than none at all.

The 2025 Australian wine vintage proved to be balanced and favourable, with cooler conditions and steady weather supporting healthy vines and even fruit development. Well-timed rainfall and moderate crop levels contributed to clean, high-quality fruit across key regions. Ripening progressed at a measured pace, with harvest dates returning closer to historical norms. Overall, the vintage produced fresh, vibrant wines with strong flavour and excellent structure.

Crafted from carefully selected Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, the fruit is gently crushed, cold-soaked, and fermented on skins to enhance colour and flavour intensity. Matured in a combination of French and American oak, the wine balances subtle toasty notes with vibrant blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark plum characters.
