A generous, opulent wine with fine tannins
A generous, opulent wine with fine tannins
Description
Blackberry, Oak, Spice
Crimson red wine with cherry and blackberry fruits supported by nutmeg, spice, white pepper and some savoury, earthy characters. A generous, opulent palate built around a core of finely textured tannins. A delicious drink in its youth, however this wine can be cellared for a number of years for those that have the patience and enjoy more savoury secondary characters. Vegan Friendly.
Bleasdale continues its long history of producing high quality blended wines. Grenache and Shiraz were originally grown in Langhorne Creek for fortified winemaking but are proving to be excellent for table wine. Nurtured from small parcels into a vibrant, delicious drink.
Shiraz and Grenache de-stemmed together to open fermenters for a short pre-ferment maceration. Gentle pump overs initially, increasing to 4 times daily with ferment peak at 30ºC. Drained & pressed after 10-12 days, settled for 24 hours before racking to tank and oak for maturation. Further blending with select parcels before bottling.
Food Pairing: Pork belly or 5 spice duck.
