Very pale lemon with green tinged hue in the glass. Citrus, stone fruit with a hint of struck match flintiness. Focused fruit and brightness that has a lingering finish.

Selective harvesting, gentle pressing, followed by cold settling the juice was racked off solids and filled to tank for temperature controlled fermentation with a yeast selected for aromatic expression.
Post fermentation blending to select an expression of what Hawke's Bay and we here at Black Barn regard as the variety we are best known for. Our 2023 Chardonnay is a fresh, frui-driven style with underlying palate weight.
