Bursting with vibrant red berries
Bursting with vibrant red berries
Description
Cherry, Coffee, Raspberry
This 2022 Pinot Noir displays bright red fruit characteristics with an inkling of coffee on the nose. The palate is fresh and bursting with raspberries, cherry, and red currant notes. There is a powder like structure leading to a smoky finish. Tasting beautifully from release, the 2022 Bishops Leap Pinot Noir will continue to develop over the next 5 years.
Harvested from select vineyards within the Southern Valleys in Marlborough. An area renowned for producing high quality and express Pinot Noir grapes. The fruit was harvested in early March and quickly transported to the winery where the grapes were gently pressed, extracting fine levels of tannin from the skins. The juice underwent a controlled warm fermentation in stainless steel before sitting on light lees to add texture and complexity to the wine.
