The Balvenie Doublewood single malt whisky gains its distinctive character from being matured in two different wood types. Each stage lends different qualities to the resulting single malt whisky.

The traditional casks soften and add delicate character, the sherry wood brings depth and fullness of flavour and the final few months in our tuns allow the whiskies to marry harmoniously. Even at 12 years old, this rich and complex dram is an excellent example of what the Balvenie distillery can craft.

The flagship single malt from Balvenie's series of Portwood whiskies. This 21-year-old expression, a marriage of rare Balvenie, was impressively finished in 30-year-old port pipes. Originally released in 1996, this whisky is a veritable masterclass in poise and balance. It’s fruity and very subtly smoky, the perfect after-dinner dram.
