"There’s an air of elegance about the bouquet of this wine, aromas of white blossoms and a fine leesy wet chalk mineral quality, then scents of fresh and baked apple, pear then gun flint. An off-dry expression with some sweetness then contrasting acidity, flavours of pomaceous fruits and chalky soil and a satin mouthfeel deliver a wine of finesse and charm. Brilliant clear yellow. Poached pears and preserved peaches aromas open the zippy nose. Nuances of acacia blossom and honey deliver complexity. Suave and tender palate. This off-dry style is balanced by the crisp freshness with a nice refreshing finish.
Appellation Vouvray Contrôlée. Situated in the Loire Valley near the town of Tours. 100% Chenin Blanc.
