Splendidly elegant Rosé offering excellent focus
Wine Orbit
Description
Cranberry, Dry, Floral
"Splendidly elegant and beautifully fragrant, the wine shows watermelon, rockmelon and white floral aromas on the nose. It’s equally satisfying on the palate offering excellent focus and persistency with succulent fruit flavours and juicy acidity. Light, refreshing and very tasty. At its best: now to 2022" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Mar 2021.
This elegant Rosé showing brambles and cranberries on the palate, with an elegant finish. Platinum Pink. Vibrant aromatics of jasmine and rosewood.
The 2020 Spindrift Pinot Noir Rosé was harvested as a single vineyard expression from the hills of the Flaxbourne. The fruit was picked in the early morning while it was still cold to optimise varietal character and then gently pressed to retain only the premium freerun juice. Minimal time on skins was to achieve a delicate platinum colour and retain bright berry fruit characters. Additional 4 months maturation on light lees to add palate weight and finesse, enjoy now.
Silt loam over alluvial gravels.
Food Pairing: Enjoy as an aperitive or with any fresh New Zealand produce.
