Description

Apple, Dry, Melon

“The inviting bouquet shows notes of watermelon, crisp apple, citrus peel, and white flowers. The palate displays youthful fruit flavours, a lively mouthfeel, and juicy acidity, offering splendid drinking. At its best: now to 2027” Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Scale_-_Dry

“Ripe and fruity, a just dry expression with a tickle of residual sweetness for mouthfeel and balance. Flavours of strawberry and yellow plum, some summer breeze and touch of clay and mineral. Supe fine fruit tannins and a whisper of lees complexity add to the style and finish. Balanced and well made with best drinking from day of purchase through 2027” Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier

Delicate aromas and flavours of strawberry juice, rosehip and tart cherry are arrayed across the palate of this chalky, dry rosé. The fine phenolics lend texture and weight to the wine, allowing the subtle berry flavours to develop on the finish. Soft, dry with balanced acidity, this is a delicious, versatile food wine.

100% Negroamaro Crafted by renowned vintners MGM Mondo del Vino (previously awarded “Best Italian Producer” at Mundus Vini and The Austrian Wine Challenge), the first European winery to adopt full EU green policy.

Negroamaro is one of Puglia's most iconic indigenous grape varieties and can trace its history back nearly 3000 years to the Greek colonization of southern Italy around the 8th century BC. In Puglia's mineral-rich soils and hot, Mediterranean climate, marked by intense sun, this characterful variety the produces tasty, dry rose that is fully ripe at just 12% alcohol while tempering sea breezes retain enough freshness to give the wine juicy, food-friendly freshness. In the words of Decanter judge Elizabeth Gabay Master of Wine “tastings revealed the enormous potential of the Negroamaro variety for making high quality rosé... with the weight and structure to be excellent gastronomic wines." With hints of strawberry, watermelon, and wild herbs this is perfect for antipasta, seafood, and summer salads.

Food Pairing: seafood, antipasti, chacuterie, Mediterranean vegetables through to grilled pork chops.
