Bright and aromatic with vibrant floral aromas of violet, cherries, and spice. The palate is rich with ripe red berries, fine tannins give a seam of toasted spice, making this a moreish wine that delivers full flavour with a silken texture.

The Collection Syrah is a true representation of our vineyard nestled in the heart of the Bridge Pa Triangle, producing brighter, floral, and soft styles of wine.

Syrah is the most vigorous variety and requires special attention to detail in the vineyard to control growth of the canopy and the yield of fruit. Syrah is also a variety that strongly reflects the place it is grown producing delicate floral reds in temperate regions such as the Bridge Pa Triangle. Matured in French oak barriques, this wine is the culmination of exacting attention in the vineyard and careful winemaking.

From our origins in 1989, establishing both vineyard and winery, Alpha Domus was a pioneer in the renowned Bridge Pa Triangle Wine District of Hawke’s Bay. New Zealand family owned, we have always been inspired to create beautiful wines of worth; the importance of quality and expert craftsmanship paramount. Alpha is derived from the first initials of the founding family members names in age descending order, Anthonius, Leonarda, Paulus, Henrikus and Anthonius, Domus is Latin for home.
