"From Seresin, the 2020 vintage is certified organic. Bright, light lemon/green, it is a youthful, tightly structured wine with fresh, peachy, slightly spicy flavours, showing good concentration, a touch of complexity and a dry finish. Best drinking mid-2021+" Michael Cooper, NZ Wines Buyers Guide, 2021

A decidedly classic, dry new world Pinot Gris showing an expressive nose with aromas of ripe pear and warm yellow fruits. The palate shows natural balance with ripe fruit characters, great texture and fine acidity all coming together to create a delicious Pinot Gris.

A harvest they will remember for a long time, not only for the added pressures and stresses that were thrown upon us by COVID-19, but more positively (and thankfully), for the splendid harvest conditions experienced in Marlborough and stunning fruit that they managed to harvest ... fittingly, the wines from 2020 will age beautifully and they will be drinking them for many years to come, remembering this unique vintage! After a warm and wet spring, flowering was experienced earlier supported by decent weather conditions, giving perfectly formed bunches and average yields. Fortunately, the last significant rain event was experienced just before Christmas, and from then on perfect ripening conditions were enjoyed. Dry, moderate day time temperatures and cool nights which certainly played a big part in creating white wines bursting with flavour and intensity, yet naturally balanced with vibrant acidity and generous length.

Certified organic grapes were harvested, destemmed then pressed and chilled to cold settle for 72 hours. The clear juice was then carefully racked into a stainless-steel vessel (90% of the final blend). A small proportion was left to ferment in neutral barrels (10%) to help build texture and natural balance into the wine. A long, cool
fermentation proceeded, to enhance the bright, intriguing aromatics of Pinot Gris. After a short period on lees, the wine was stabilised and filtered prior to bottling.

Derived from 100% certified organic fruit from the Omaka Valley.
