Description

  • Dark plum
  • Dried spice
  • Succulent & supple
  • Polished tannins

"Delightfully ripe and fragrant, the wine shows dark plum, floral, toasted nut and subtle spice notes on the nose, leading to a succulent palate that’s youthfully fruited and immediately appealing. It’s juicy and supple with plenty of tasty flavours. At its best: now to 2023" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"Delicately aromatic pinot noir with floral, violet, black cherry, fresh herb and spicy oak flavours. A silken-textured wine, with bright acidity helping to drive a lengthy finish. Good value at this price" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Sep 2020

Aromas of vibrant red fruits and dried spice lead to a smooth and rounded palate. Polished tannings add structure to help deliver a delightful example of Pinot Noir that can be enjoyed now or over the coming 3-5 years.

The fruit was handpicked as individual vineyard blocks and kept separate until final blending. Grape bunches were mostly destemmed and fermented in open vats. After gentle plunging the wine was drained to barrels for 10 months prior to bottling on 21st March 2020.

Misty Cove’s Landmark Pinot Noir is deeply influenced by old world winemaking techniques. Lovingly handcrafted in small batch quantities, winemakers crafted this wine to reflect the “Landmark” the attributes and characteristics of the Fareham Lane vineyard from which it originated.

Typical pinot noir character, soft on the palate. Not overly complex but very drinkable. Great value
