"It's fabulously lifted on the nose showing feijoa, kiwifruit, nectarine and lime zest aromas, followed by a gorgeously flavoursome palate offering terrific fruit purity and power. Delectable and highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2023" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Mar 2021

"Pungent, varietal, precise bouquet of citrus and tropical fruit, fresh herbs and fruit spice. Crisp, refreshing and dry on the palate with flavours of green apple and lemon, grapefruit, peach and fresh herbs. High acidity, lengthy finish, balanced and well made. Drink upon purchase and through 2023" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Jun 2021

The nose is lifted with fresh notes of passionfruit and blackcurrant leaf. The sweet fruit characters on the palate and fresh acidity combine to create an expressive and attractive Sauvignon Blanc. Enjoy now, or cellar up to 2 years.

The vineyard was incredibly lucky to be granted permission to create these wines during the global pandemic crisis. For this reason, their 2020 wines carry some very unique memories. The 2020 growing season was very dry, which meant disease pressure was low and some timely light rains kept just enough water flowing in their rivers. They had a classic Marlborough autumn with warm days and cool nights, which created this season’s Sauvignon Blanc with their signature fresh natural acidity and intense fruit flavours. They had fairly stable weather during Sauvignon Blanc flowering, with a small amount of rain affecting some of the later flowering areas, resulting in lighter crops and intense flavours. The Sauvignon Blanc produced from this vintage has concentrated fruit flavours, with a vibrant pure palate and an elegant fresh finish.

Individual parcels of Sauvignon Blanc were selected for this wine from their Awatere Valley vineyards. The parcels were harvested and fermented
separately, using selected yeast strains for Sauvignon Blanc to enhance varietal character. A long, cool fermentation took place over three weeks, with the parcels then being blended and stabilised, prior to bottling.

It’s the little things in life that count and it’s the littlest sheep that help make Babydoll wines. Our sustainable collection of wines are pure and intense with plenty of character, just like the Babydoll sheep we named them after. These tiny sheep keep our vineyards tidy year round because they’re too small to reach the grapes. Using one of nature’s mowers means our wines are better for the environment and taste better too. Celebrate life’s little moments with Babydoll wines.

Suitable for vegetarians, vegans and a gluten free diet. Enjoy now, or cellar up to 2 years.

Food Pairing: Beautiful with fresh seafood and salads.
