Description

A lovely lick of juicy Merlot in harmony with rich Durif and the spiciness of Shiraz make for good companions in this innovative blend. With hints of vanilla, neatly balanced sweetness and soft tannins that give a generous length of flavour.

The King Valley experienced a mild growing season following timely spring rains. Near perfect growing conditions for full flavour development of the fruit. Grapes harvested late march. Whilst in the Riverina a wet winter and spring provided plenty of moisture for a good growing season. A dry and warm summer allowed for a slow ripening retaining lots of fruit and natural acidity.

Each variety was harvested separately at a range of baume levels to provide both freshness and intensity of the varietal flavours. Portions of each variety were matured with French and American oak for the touch of vanilla sweetness.
