Description
Plum red in the glass. Layered fruit aromas of ripe black plums combined with sweet blackcurrants. Generous offerings of black plum and spiced blueberry. The palate is underpinned by dark choclate notes with fine cocoa like tannin structure.
The fruit for this wine is sourced from low cropping sites in both Marlboroughs Wairau plain and Hawkes Bay.
Cold soaked for five days prior to inoculating for fermentation. Regular hand plunging and pumpingover for a high flavour extraction before maturation in French oak barriques.
