Description

"This is impeccable and flatteringly elegant; the delicately lifted bouquet shows nectarine, apple, lime sorbet and green tea aromas, followed by a finely textured palate that is brilliantly focused and persistent. The wine offers poise and purity, together with mouth-watering acidity, finishing beautifully flowing and lively. At its best: now to 2025" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Apr 2019

"Bright, very pale straw colour, with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is very tightly bound and elegant, with good depth and intensity of lime fruit entwined with white florals and mouthwatering mineral elements, unfolding suggestions of fine, fresh herbs. Medium-dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate is taut and initially a little unforthcoming, but reveals concentrated and refined flavours of lime fruit, white florals and minerals. The fruit is underlined by fine acidity reflecting low pH with its softness. The fruit flows along a fine-textured line of fruit extract and subtle phenolics, unfolding some honeysuckle and nuances of toast, as it carries to a finish with rich fruit and mineral elements. This is a taut, medium-dry Riesling with lime, floral and mineral flavours that blossom as it flows. Serve as an aperitif, and with Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese fare over the next 4+ years. Hand-picked Bendigo fruit, WBP and cool-fermented to 12.0% alc. and 10 g/L RS, TA 8.2 g/L and pH 2.98" Raymond Chan, Oct 2018

"Bright, light lemon/green, this single-vineyard wine was hand-picked at Bendigo. Fragrant, it is medium-bodied, with strong, vibrant, grapefruit and lime flavours, a hint of spice, and a finely balanced, off-dry, lingering finish. Best drinking 2021+" Winestate Magazine

"A delightfully fresh and vibrant expression of the grape. Lavender and white flower aromatics set the scene for the main event which is a crisp and pure palate of ripe citrus and apple blossom. Very moreish" Cuisine Magazine, Mar 2019

"Fragrant and medium-bodied (12% alc/vol), this single-vineyard wine has strong grapefruit and lime flavours, a hint of spice and an off-dry, lingering finish" Michael Cooper, Noted, Nov 2019

A fragrant and lush bouquet of lime, honeysuckle, and a subtle touch of flint with flavours of delicious citrus zest, and ripe lime. This Riesling has a rich front palate that crescendos to a long and mineral finish with brilliant acidity that will ensure the wine's longevity.

The 2017 Riesling grapes are from an award-winning vineyard in Bendigo, Central Otago, planted in 2003. The semi-continental climate and alluvial soils are perfect for growing aromatic varietals and Riesling always thrives here beneath the scorched hills that still show the scars of the gold rush. These pristine Riesling grapes were hand harvested on the 19th of April at optimal ripeness. The grapes were then whole bunch pressed and fermented at cool temperatures to retain the fresh aromatics. The fermentation was stopped at the perfect balance of residual sugar and acidity resulting in an off-dry wine with a long zesty finish. Residual Sugar: 10g/L, T.A: 8.2
