Red in colour, this is a fragrant and silky Pinot Noir wine with raspberry, cherry, vanilla, mixed spices and an earthy note. It’s medium bodied but still very generous for Pinot Noir but very flavoursome and moreish. Red and dark fruited with soft tannins. 

If 2020 was all about the heat, then 2021 will be remembered as the wet season. In many parts of Australia it was unseasonably wet but not at critical times as to do damage to the growing season and the ripeness of the grapes. In fact an even ripening was achieved between dry and rainy spells and the ensuing fruit quality was excellent and for once yields were up making 2021 a bumper harvest.

Healthy and problem free fruit is selected in the vineyard and then picked in the cool of the night and then rushed to the nearby winery for a fast and focused vinification. Fermentation is cool in a closed static fermenter before a short maturation on lees and bottling.
