It was pressed, settled, and divided into two batches.\u003cbr\u003eOne batch was fermented using a selected yeast, at cool temperatures in stainless steel (60%). The second\u003cbr\u003ebatch was fermented wild in oak barrels and puncheons. After 6 months on lees, both batches were blended,\u003cbr\u003estabilised and filtered prior to bottling.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe season commenced with a stunningly dry winter, ensuring no interruptions to our pruning, enabling an\u003cbr\u003eearly budburst across the board. Spring is remembered for strong winds, and, although the fine weather\u003cbr\u003eremained in general, a few significant rain events kept the soil moisture levels decent and the vine growth\u003cbr\u003efresh. The conditions over the whole vintage period were extremely favourable, textbook Marlborough in\u003cbr\u003efact, with warm days, bright blue sky days and cool nights. We commenced harvest early on March 8th and\u003cbr\u003econtinued slowly yet rigorously, until our final pick on April 8th.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur clay rich Raupo Creek vineyard, farmed following organic and biodynamic principles is located in the centre\u003cbr\u003eof the Omaka Valley.
