Fresh aromas of passionfruit, green apple and blackcurrant, with a hint of sea salt. An intensely flavoured palate with layers of tropical passionfruit, blackcurrant and mineral notes. The weighty palate has a long and lingering finish.
2019 was a fantastic vintage, with a small crop of intensly flavoured grapes. The grapes were machine harvested and trasported promptly to the winery to be lightly pressed, The juice was lightly settled, then cool fermented with selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks, in order to retain the vibrant fresh flavours and intense aromatics.
The fruit was sourced from a selection of vineyards across Marlborough's fertile Wairau Valley area. Each vineyard's yield was carefully managed and fruit monitored throughout the growing season. The grapes were harvested upon reaching the desired flavour spectrum and maturity.
