These mature, low yielding vines are planted on ancient free draining river terraces overlooking the Ngaruroro river.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fruit was harvested at the end of March in pristine condition, gently pressed and run to predominantly older barrels for fermentation. Fermentation occurred with a combination of wild and selected yeasts for added complexity. A portion of the barrels went through Malolactic fermentation to add buttery notes and texture.
